So after the most horrible rotten nasty cold I have had in yonks (still not completely gone but I couldn't put it off any longer) I got up at 6am and did my final run of the plan - yeah!! Feels good. Now I will be looking at the Stepping Stones podcasts and parkruns and venturing out a little further. I usually run down to the next village and back but my goal is to get round the nearby lake and admire the views..

:-D

Well done. You'll soon be running round that lake. Just keep at it 3 times a week. Parkrun is fab. So friendly. Wish mine was nearer so I could go every week.

Well done! That view is a real incentive in itself! I love running in the countryside and enjoying seeing the hills/mist/horses/sheep .... it's half the fun xxxx

It is :-) and a local farmer has just put a load of sheep in the field opposite our house which is a great start and finish to my runs - they're very vocal :-D

Ha ha. I do all my runs in a sheep field. I was so excited after W5R3 that I almost hugged one ;-)

It's not gone totally.. normally have them for about 3 weeks - just can't shift them but I have been chomping the vitamin c tablets, eating loads of fruit and generally being healthy - loads of water too. It is definitely clearing off. I can't wait until it has gone completely and then I can go for a proper run and time myself for 30 minutes and see how far I get.

Loving this running lark :-D

Just like me, I don't seem to get stomach bugs very often but colds seem to really hang around, I totally sympathize! So good you managed to get r9 w3 done, and it will be so much easier when you get over it completely.
