Congrats Riglettes and Miles Yonder

I hear through nefarious channels that Miles achieved greatness in his marathon today, so congratulations, Dude.

Also the mighty Riglettes who stormed around the junior Festival Run this morning. I did rather less well. Rather concerned that I may have a stress fracture in my right foot. Thought it would be okay for the 10k today, but it was far from okay. Going to have it xrayed tomorrow. 2 weeks out form marathon really do't need an injury now.

Well, how rude of me 😮I also hope your foot injury is not as bad as you fear. Having read of your previous exploits on here however, I am sure you will be bouncing back soon!

You've got some super kids there! Well done to them :)

Hope the foot problem is not a stress fracture :( Fingers crossed for you.

Great news about M_Y. Had a quick look at his race on Connect and he aced it!!

Congratulations to the Riglettes who have achieved the coveted double of being supremely cute and great little runners too. Cue proud daddy moment for you!

Really hope your foot is just sore rather than broken. You've had a right year of it when it comes to the injury couch, haven't you. Fingers crossed its something trivial and easily sorted. x

Great pic, Rig, and congratulations to the Riglettes on their greatness! 😊

So sorry to hear about the suspected stress fracture! I had similar last year and it turned out not to be a stress fracture at all - hopefully yours will be the same and won't interfere with your forthcoming marathon.

The X-ray may not be too revealing though; depending on how long symptoms have been present, if it is a stress fracture it may not show up on the X-ray. From my research into it when I worried I had one (was convinced of it!) it seems an MRI or bone scan were the most useful of imaging tools in identifying a stress fracture. Really really hope it isn't one and the odds are, it won't be. Let us know what the findings are, Rig.

Oh, and thank you, good sir. Got an update up now; it was a hell of a day. You're going to have a blast on your marathon! (Think positive! No stress fractures!)
