Well after all the knee issues, nerves and doubts, I did it.

My first 10k race. was hard in a couple of places but overall I enjoyed it and a very pleased with my time. Think I knocked a couple of minutes off my PB

As for my knee, slight twinge with 1k to go but not too bad. Probably be a bit tender tomorrow but will rest now.

I hope everybody has had a good run today and look forward to hearing all the stories.

C25K, you have changed my life!!!

Thanks all for all your support. Fabulous peeps.

Anyway, speech over, enjoy your weekends

Jules xx

Thank you. Am quite chuffed. Still waiting for the results but think it was 1.06.48. My Prevous time was 1.08.47 so nearly 2 minutes off .

Crumbs!! That's quick. Well done

Dunnja profile image
DunnjaGraduateβ€’ in reply toAncientMum

I was about 5 from last though!! Think the winner did it in about 34 minutes!!!!

AncientMum profile image
AncientMumGraduateβ€’ in reply toDunnja

Oh well, 5 from last is better than 4 from last AND you're only a baby runner, they've probably been running for years. Bet you've made more progress in the last 3 months that the winner has!! ;)

Oh my!! Just been for a run in the park. I'm doomed! 😱😱 Didn't do the whole uphill bit, just part of it and it nearly killed me. Can't imagine doing it twice. Think there'll be several walk breaks for me on Saturday, lol x

Dunnja profile image
DunnjaGraduateβ€’ in reply toAncientMum

LOL, they are hard. I just had my number through 3,980. With that amount of people doubt anyone will be able to run!!!

I'm running round the outside of the park 2/3 times tonight with running group so couple of hills but not as bad as "that" one !!!

Jxx

AncientMum profile image
AncientMumGraduateβ€’ in reply toDunnja

What???? You're running round the outside of the park 3times!!!! We are so in different places with our fitness!! :D

Dunnja profile image
DunnjaGraduateβ€’ in reply toAncientMum

You've had a bad leg Hun. no surprise. Probably twice due to timing but depends how quick they run xx

turnturtle profile image
turnturtleGraduateβ€’ in reply toDunnja

You are running against yourself Dunnja. Not other people. Repeat, repeat, repeat!

Dunnja profile image
DunnjaGraduateβ€’ in reply toturnturtle

I know TT. We all run together but they run a lot slower than me and walk a bit but it's a lively easy relaxed social run. Timing was cos I only had an hour πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

turnturtle profile image
turnturtleGraduateβ€’ in reply toDunnja

That's a brilliant time Dunnja! SO well done. NOt only Cto5K but giving up smoking too (I remember that trauma still) Don't you just feel like a butterfly that's come out of its chrysalis? :-)

Dunnja profile image
