Re-started today after a long time off with a knee problem.
Took things very carefully at the gym on the treadmill. I walked for 10mins ran for 5 walked for 5min then ran for 10 then cooled down with a ten min walk. Knee felt ok all the way through and although I wanted to run on for longer I made the decision to take my time and ease back into running gently. As my physio advised I spent time on the leg press to try and get my muscles back in trim to support the knee and with the help of my new foam roller I am well and truly on the way to full recovery (fingers crosssed). To anyone else out there suffering with injuries just take your time and dont rush straight back into running. I wish you all well and to the runners - Happy Running

Hi magster, that's very encouraging. I too hurt my knee and have been out of action for a few weeks. I had managed to get to W6R3 but I was almost scared to go back and have another go. I tried last week to do W2 as I'm itching to get back to it, don't want to take too much time off but think I'm going to have too.
I do like reading the blogs everyday hoping it will keep me inspired.
Just take your time before running again as you can do more harm than good. I hope you recover quickly as I know how frustrating it is sitting on the sidelines! Take care.
