Re-started today after a long time off with a knee problem.

Took things very carefully at the gym on the treadmill. I walked for 10mins ran for 5 walked for 5min then ran for 10 then cooled down with a ten min walk. Knee felt ok all the way through and although I wanted to run on for longer I made the decision to take my time and ease back into running gently. As my physio advised I spent time on the leg press to try and get my muscles back in trim to support the knee and with the help of my new foam roller I am well and truly on the way to full recovery (fingers crosssed). To anyone else out there suffering with injuries just take your time and dont rush straight back into running. I wish you all well and to the runners - Happy Running :)

Hi magster, that's very encouraging. I too hurt my knee and have been out of action for a few weeks. I had managed to get to W6R3 but I was almost scared to go back and have another go. I tried last week to do W2 as I'm itching to get back to it, don't want to take too much time off but think I'm going to have too.

I do like reading the blogs everyday hoping it will keep me inspired.

Good luck with your running.

Just take your time before running again as you can do more harm than good. I hope you recover quickly as I know how frustrating it is sitting on the sidelines! Take care.
