Yippee I did it!!! After struggling with achey sore legs last week, this week was completely different. In fact I felt like I'd got fairy feet! I ran 4.5km in 31 mins so felt chuffed with that.
I began the programme back in May then sprained my ankle badly which meant 10 weeks on the injury couch. I started again end of July and I could not imagine ever being able to run for 30 minutes but I now can which is not bad for a 49 year old!
This forum is fantastic and has kept me going particularly when I was injured. Will keep posting and I'm off to get that graduation badge!!ππ

Thank you. It did feel like such a long time recovering but the wait was worth it. Fairy feet?! Yes well in my mind it felt like it. That is probably the only part of me that could be remotely like a fairy! Think the elation of this morning took over haha! π
well done 1st on your comeback from injury, been there have the t shirt and secondly on graduating !! a great effort
Thanks slow rob. Getting injured certainly helped me appreciate my health when it returned and to take care not to over stretch myself. im so thankful my ankle has not given me any trouble since.π
Congratulations Farawaytree! I remember your ankle injury and time on the ic, not least because I spent about 12 weeks there myself at the same time with my calf tear. Sooo pleased for you. Today must feel VERY special. Enjoy your shiny graduation badge - one more run for me and I will be there too!
Massive well done, for graduating and coming back to finish the programme after your injury. I love the term "fairy feet" I may have to nick that phrase and use it myself sometimes!
