I was beginning to doubt the programme but stuck with it and today I did it. Have had a few days off with sore knee, and one attempt went wrong because my asthma was making me too wheezy but finally cracked it. Now looking forward to 25mins continuous run....and then going to a local park run.

Hi Wizzie,
Fantastic, well done for persevering despite the sore knee and asthma. The Autumn has always affected my breathing, hope it's not giving you too many problems. Inhaler at the ready! Best of luck with the next run!
Reassuring that the autumn affects others. I would have expected it in the spring, but less so now. However I live in the middle of New Forest - fantastic running BUT lots of trees with tons of pollen!
Yes I agree, the Spring I would expect, but it's always the Autumn that gets me! On a positive, I bet you have lots of lovely routes in the New Forest, it's lovely there.
Good going, there. It's harder to persist when the resistance kicks in, but you've done it. It's also wise to save your knee like that. Any muscle conditioning you lose (and that takes weeks) can be gained back quite easily, where a knee can put you out for ages. It's just the sensible thing to do, in other words. (But so easy not to do it when the bug bites). You'll enjoy having your first parkruns as part of the c25k experience.
