Looks like one of our runners in the northern part of our province got a heckuva scare on a training run. Always be prepared folks.

A friend of mine who lives in suburban Victoria BC encountered a cougar on a dog walk so you don't have to be anywhere wild.

Those of us in the UK are very fortunate!

Glad we don't have to contend with anything like that!

I had to jump over a huge flippin snake! Who'da thought it, in Derbyshire! I never knew I could jump that high!

Thankfully no big cats or bears. There are wallabies though but I've not seen one on my walkabouts

Ugh! I absolutely hate snakes. It might have helped me to achieve a PB!

Eeergh. That would make me jump.

I think I need to know where this was...probably more for the dog who I once nearly had to carry home in a state of collapse having been stung. Well, the two friends I was with took it in turns, had I been on my own I would have had to strip to my bra and drag her on my shirt, she's only a medium sized spaniel but too heavy for me.

However, that's daft I am sure they've been around in the places I run lots of times.

(I think the wallabies are supposed to have died out now. Pity)

Agh! I know how you feel. A snake once slithered between my sister and I as we were walking side by side in Norfolk. I think we both went into a state of shock!

I guess we're lucky we don't have large predators in the UK...

There might be a few PBs at Parkrun if there was one of those in the vicinity.

PBs would be great. As long as there weren't any unexpected DNFs.
