Hello I completed my first run this afternoon, I found the first 2 minutes quite tough then it got a little easier and by minute 7 I just wanted to carry on walking, I didn't and finished the program. I am feeling quite chuffed. looking forward to my fitness improving.
First week, first run: Hello I completed my... - Couch to 5K
First week, first run

A big welcome Helein.
Well done on taking the first step and for completing run 1.
This programme is just amazing. You wait, you won't believe what you will achieve.

Well done and welcome 😀xxx

Great stuff! Doing that first run is such a positive step 😊

Well done and welcome to the forum xx

Well done.

I'm just like you. I haven't run since school and I never thought I would become one...... until couch to 5k! I've been running since February as I was just curious to see what I could achieve. On many, many occasions I have felt like power walking instead of running, but I've just kept chipping at it. I've allowed myself to repeat runs if I've needed to, but I've always gone out at least twice a week. Now I'm running regular 5k's and loving it! It can be hard to keep going, but the buzz you get from completing a run is priceless! x

Congratulations. Not only have you got over the biggest hurdle which is making yourself going out but you also achieved your first goal. Keep it up.
Keep your pace slow so you achieve each run of the week. Take a rest day between each run and then two days between each week. Post often as we love to hear how others are doing and good luck.
Well done!! I'm doing my first run of week 1 and hoping to actually complete today's, that would be an achievement in itself!
Keep up the good work x
