Just ran W9r1 this morning. I never imagined that I could ever run for 30 mins without stopping. I feel amazing both physically and mentally. I'm planning a graduation treat for myself for Friday after my last run - an activity tracker! The plan is to start a 10k programme on Monday. Been looking at the trackers and the Garmin vivofit and the fitbit flex have caught my eye - and are in my price range. I cant decide on which one - can anyone recommend either or maybe even a different one?

The mental benefits of running were a huge surprise to me and I can tell you that after two years running they are still there, maybe not quite so extreme, but running rewards in so many ways.
Good luck with the graduation run.

I use a flex, and it's great for all-day tracking, but the app on the phone takes a while to get a proper GPS reading. And, if it doesn't, you get weird readings! E.g. my run today was apparently 10.5 km in 36.5 minutes. Now, I don't remember doing the route twice, so something went wrong!
I do like the Fitbit interface though. I am tempted by the Garmin forerunner 10, with the idea I'd just use it for the running (and the Fitbit would stay on as an activity tracker all day).
