Week 8 run 1 complete. It's exactly 5k from my house to my work. Hopefully I can run in and home regularly. Cycle path makes it a bit easier.

Good job... 5 to go. I take it you’re considering running in or home and not both? I’d love to run 5k from work to home, but I work from home 😂

😂😂I'd love to be able to do both, might have to step up to 10k before I can do it!

At the very least... running twice a day takes a special kind of nuts... I’ve seen such creatures on Strava, but even my ultra running friend thinks they’re crazy! Not sure how it would affect the muscles... logically most repair is done while you sleep, but I’d also think 2*5k would be more damaging than a 10k.

I'll probably stick to one way, don't want to risk anything.

For a year or so at least I’d say.

I'm hoping for similar once I can run 5k. It's about 5.5k between home and work; I usually walk both ways when possible as it is. I probably won't ever plan to run both to and from work, but running home on days when I am not going straight out somewhere seems like a good idea, and less time-consuming than fitting a run into another part of my day.

I wish I had that nice scenic tow-path to run along, though, like the one in your photo. I work in Central London and live just outside, so it's all main roads and poor air quality!
