Plotted out a 5k route on mapmyrun. Started it with the idea that I'd run the thirty minutes, and keep going if I wanted to to get as close to 5k as I could.
And I did it.
I'm in shock, but very happy. Am I really a runner now?

Thank you! I'm a bit calmer now. Have renamed North Meadow as "The Leg Killer" and I am trying to stop giggling childishly at the name of the field I completed the run in (as I keep telling myself, there's nothing wrong with darting around Bailiff's Piece).
And I don't have to listen to "You and Julie." Ever. Again.
Well done well done!! But OH I know just how you feel about 'You and Julie'😱😱 - and the one which really drove me mad was a song a few weeks back which had the words ' I've got both feet on the ground' or something...that always seemed to crop up just as I was starting to flag and I had to make myself ignore it!
Thanks everyone. Have had a weekend off and now looking forward to getting out there and running again tomorrow. First day with a new playlist too. I think I'll miss Laura, so I haven't quite got around to deleting the podcasts from my phone yet.
