Asic's Training Run.... Going further....

Well thanks to all the good advice my "training" run ... ha ha ha... went 1k better than planned. :-)

Must admit I was very very slow, but only had a few walkies to refresh the legs and have a drink & snack. Although I was slow.. I tried not to let this worry me too much as the purpose of tonight's mission was distance not speed. I was also worried that if i did increase my pace I might kill my legs and not be able to complete the run.

Although these type of distances may not be too great for some.. I certainly thought that I was entering new territory that need a bit of thought and planning... I just hope I can walk tomorrow!!

Still haven't reached 1 year of running... and there was no way that I could run 1k 12 months ago.... so pretty happy for an old-ish plodder!

Happy running folks :-)

Well done. It's not easy, so hats off to you. I wouldn't worry about speed. Just let things develop naturally. Safer that way

You've not been running a year yet so no rush

That's fantastic Andy, well done! You deserve that trophy!! And you're right - the speed is irrelevant if you're trying for distance. Getting to the end (plus a bit in your case!) is what counts.

Am I reading that correctly....15k? As in 9 miles?

Good grief man. Fantastic.

Well done!

I'm still trying to get to 5k, not far away though, but then, only been running for 11 weeks.
