Today I have done week 5 run 3 (hooray!)

But I seem to get a rash on/under one arm for the last 3 runs, it's worse than thigh chaffe!

Can you recommend soothing treatment please?

Sudocrem? And try Vaseline or Bodyglide before you run.

I got that once. I think it was a combo of new bra and new vest. It was the devil as it was in a race. I used Vaseline on it and it was great. Keep a tub handy as it's great for blisters (unpopped of course!) and for chafing generally. Cheap as cheaps which is a bonus

I thought it may have been cause I was in a vest but it's happened in t-shirts since the first time so I must just be really sweaty lol

thanks for the tip, I have a few things lurking in drawers and cupboards to try out if others fail.

Thanks, I will have to Google bodyglide though. I am imagining some sort of wet suit here lol

I can definitely recommend lanacane for chafing, not cheap but well worth the money.

Well done on week 5 run 3 - that's a huge step!

Is lanacane the boob stuff?

I may be thinking of something else. I shall Google, thanks 😊

Hey, just want to say a big well done on w5r3!! Go you! it's a great achievement which has been lost in the situation with your rash - which I do hope you manage to sort out btw.

Good luck now with the rest of the programme - still got some hard work but it's soooo worth it so please stick with it :-) xx

Thank you! I couldn't feel as good as I should have with the bloody rash, sick of leaving the park looking like I'm really annoyed with someone lol

I am really enjoying it so I am looking forward to making it to week 9! Thanks again 😀

That's happened to me too in this hot weather, got myself some vaseline now.

I have smothered it in vaseline and it's gone away pretty quickly so hopefully next run I can preemptively use some and it won't be so bad 😊
