Advice needed! As a new runner, sweat has increasingly become a problem.
First of all it mucked up my new fancy headphones bought for C25k. Then, on my last run it practically blinded me too.
There I was running with my eyes almost closed in total pain, without Laura (or any music) to guide me looking and feeling pretty pathetic.
For my headphones (Beats X wireless), I wondered if anyone else has succcessfully stuck a bit of plastic over the microphone hole or anything better?
Then for the eye-stinging sweat blindness, does anyone have any suggestions better than wearing a sweat band? (honestly, I’m just too vein). Someone suggested Vaseline on eyebrows (does it work?).
Any new suggestions greatefully received - I’m going to try everything!

No experience of the Vaseline thing, but it makes sense - an arc of it just above the eyebrows should make the sweat run around your eyes and down the side of your face. Secret will be how far left and right it extends past the eyes, I guess.
On the headphones I went for some cheap waterproof ones to save ruining my decent ones.
You could try a wrist sweat band and keep wiping the areas that cause the most problems. I had that problem for the first time last week and I have been running nearly 5 years so it could just be an environmental blip. Hope you find some resolution.
I can't help with the headphone problem, sorry, and I've never tried vaselineing my eyebrows but to follow on from Realfoodieclub 's suggestion, I use a buff on my wrist which I have soaked in water first, thus giving me a nice refreshing swipe over the eyes when needed. I have seen other runners looking really cool with a buff or a bandanna on the head but unfortunately it really doesn't look that good on me However, it might work well for you? Hope you find something that works.
Haha, thanks for the feedback Jay66UK , Realfoodieclub & Anniemurph .
I sellotaped clingfilm around the microphone on my Apple Beats X headphones. It still didn’t work. Conclusion: buy some cheaper alternatives!
Vaseline on eyebrows (+ forehead and temples). Amusingly, I could only find my daughters red Vaseline lip balm (which I did use). Honestly, whilst running with red lip balm all over my head and cling film wrapped around my headphones I did quiestion how daft I would have just looked with sweatband.
Oh such imagery!! I used the inside of my tshirt the other day as it was so hot, but that did nearly result in my falling over so I would not recommend!! 🙈😂
Oh that did make me laugh! I have the same problem. Although i do my running on the treadmill at the gym the sweat pours off me. I take a towel with me & try to wipe my face but usually end up poking myself in the eye! I have to ask what on earth is a buff? It’s what my daughter calls guys that she thinks are fit but i’ve no idea what the other version is!
Here is a buff. There are many different makes but they all have the same idea. I use them in the cold weather as it is a great way to keep warm at the start of a run but not so much that you overheat once you have got going. They are so simple but are so very useful.
Oh I wear beats wireless too, hoping they survive! My phone is in a tiny ‘bum bag’ and I squeeze some kitchen towel in there too ☺️ it’s 30-35 degrees here and my eyes have been stinging with the sweat. The kitchen towel helped a lot (ie super absorbent) but I like the Vaseline idea better!
I use a sweat band even though i look a bit daft, it helps a lot with sweat but I mainly needed it as in-ear headphones constantly fall out of my oddly shaped ears otherwise. I push it quite far back so it's just over my hair line, more like a hairband if that makes sense? I've also bought one of these wireless headbands, the sound isn't brilliant but enough to hear Sarah giving me directions. A bit warm for the current weather though.
