Finally made abingdon park run. Everyone was very welcome and despite a bit of nerves we were soon off running, I got a bit tied up behind some slower runners at first but soon made it past. It all seemed to go very quickly enjoying the scenery and feeling great. A "sprint finish" at the end and while I was figuring out the token scanning I forgot to stop my garmim!! The results came through and boy am I chuffed. 25 mins 39 secs. Great fun and highly recommended!!!!

WOW ! Great time! My first one today. I found the people very encouraging and friendly. One chap who had finished (probably at least 10 mins before me and was walking back) tagged along and helped me over the last 200 m. Love it!

Thanks poppy, I couldn't believe how many people there were and how fast some of the hares were!! I seem to run at the same pace whatever I do, it just feels wrong when I try to slow down!! X x x

Oh theres some proper racing snakes at the one I go to too !

I think the first one came in at about sixteen minutes at mine . Eeek ! Im still sorting myself out , making sure everythings tucked in and my leggings arent going to fall down at that stage ha ha :-)

I have 2 paces, slow and standstill. Mind you, I did the Speed Podcast on Thursday, and I did manage to go a bit faster. Was knackered at the end though.

Well done Samson :-) xxx

Speedy samson! That's a really fast time, so well done to you. And I've forgotten to turn off my Garmin too so you're not the only one!

Great time. Parkrun is such a wonderful event for all ages, shapes and abilities. I love it....even when I am still 7 seconds short of the PB I set over a year ago.

Amazing time ! Well done. You've just got to beat that next time ;)

Ha ha ha thanks henpen, my pb is almost a minute better but I did hurt myself getting that so I'm not really aiming for that. I feel better with distance really.
