connect.garmin.com/modern/a...
found the local parkrun supporters page yesterday. They advertised a local 7 or 10k trail run, for today. problem is I've never done trail running and I'm not keen even running on grass, but I've been told it would help running overall (stronger ankles). So I signed up for the 7K
Turned up this afternoon. The start was delayed 'cos some scroats had removed some of the signage overnight. They explained the route, told us to be careful and started the clock. Off we went on paths I didn't even know existed. I thought it would be flat. There are no hills round here, except the route planner found enough to sap my energy. I finished 7k in 44.45 according to the clock, or 6.56k in 45.12 according to garmin (too many trees?). So I got my first bling, and even better, no dogs got closer than "the distance".
