I should have been graduating on Saturday having done week 9 run 1 last Monday , but a nasty throat infection out a stop to me running ! Never thought I say in a month of Sunday's " I miss running " 😱

I've now come down with a cold and stupid cough - am I mad to try and attempt a run whilst feeling a bit rough ??

A pretty commonly observed rule is "symptoms above the neck, you can run - below, you can't". More here: runnersworld.com/health/sho...

That's very useful thank you.

I would say don't run if your temperature is above normal. I have had cold which moved around - from below neck to head so the "neck" rule AHS describes was hard to apply. If you feel rotten take a break. Symptoms may last a good while but the feeling really rotten bit is prob only a few days.
