Thanks to this wonderful running programme I today took part in my first ever Race for Life. I managed to complete it in 27mins 42 secs and that was in very blustery conditions and with poorly big toe. I am so chuffed! For anyone thinking about giving the programme a go - just do it. You've nothing to lose and so much to gain.

Just go at your own pace. Don't be influenced by anyone else around you, unless it's a supportive friend. It's such a great atmosphere you will do well! Run as slowly as you want to and you will be fine. Good luck! Xx

That's what happened to me. I'd only ever run 4K before, but the atmosphere and my friend's encouragement kept me going and I ran the whole 5K. Actually it was probably more because we had to weave our way in out and and past people that were walking. It was brilliant though - and I couldn't have done it without C25K. Good luck!
