When looking for something on Amazon to stop blisters on my feet I came across Udderly Smooth Anti Chaffing cream. I think it is meant for cyclists but the reviews cover lots of people who get comfort from using it in hotter weather. I have not bought / used it but the Reviews were so good I have been pondering buying some in the summer.
Uncomfortable!
You could try applying Vaseline (works a treat) or coconut oil (my preference) to affected and potentially going to be affected areas ...also think about testing not using fabric softener in the wash you wash yr running stuff in .... That might make a difference.
Good luck and a fast to smooth runnings!
You could try a barrier cream like Sudocreme, also use it afterwards to calm down the irritation. You say you have a good support bra but worth checking the underband is really really tight.
Vaseline. Could it be that you are wearing too many clothes? You could have two thinner layers, eg a light weight running tee with a lightweight jacket. Just thinking that it might be cos you're overheating
Run very slowly so you're not over exerting yourself
Hi i would echo what others have said about anti chafing cream but also are you Wratting a sports bra? After the first week i had a rash and was itching but after having bought a sports bra (i wear it under my clothes like a normal bra) the rash and pain has gone. I only got a cheap one from asda but it's so comfy!
Sorry i just read your post better and see you have a support bra. not sure if it's the same though x
Hi its ok. I Have one from sports shop but seems to squeeze together so i wore the one i had from asda. Much better after todays run.
I can sympathise, I have sort of birthmark that my running bra irritates although no others do. The doc called it a naevi (spelling?) and said it can't be removed as it has a blood supply. I tuck a bit of cotton wool under the bra band, not that it does much good, and use a bit of antihistamine cream like Lanacane afterwards.
You'll find as you go along that some bits of clothing will work for you and others won't
Thank you for your reply. That sounds reallu uncomfortable.
