I am starting firefighting school in July and really need to kick start my weight loss, endurance and strength. I am starting this program on Monday and hope to pair it with weight lifting 2-3 times per week! I am excited to start the journey!

Good luck I am just about to start w5 and I have not ran in over 30 years, but this programme is great. Each week feel its a massive step forward so bit of love and hate but so rewarding. Hope you enjoy it.
How come you're waiting til Monday. It's not raining out!
Running, weight lifting and attention to your diet will all help lose weight. Walking, swimming and cycling are good too. Mix it up a bit.
Running makes you lose weight on your top half so lifting weights will help with that. Mat exercises that use your own bodyweight are great for runners as is yoga and pilates.
You guys are awesome! So much wonderful support already. I am going to run today but I will officially start the program next week. It will be easier to count the weeks thanks again everyone.
