It's taken me nearly two weeks to actually complete this one. Sadly my father passed away on Monday and I've been in and out of hospital and managed to catch a horrible cold whilst in there - so it's been a challenge, to say the least..... This morning I felt like he was gently pushing me on when I felt like not bothering at all. On the positive side if I can manage to carry on in these circumstances I feel like I've cracked it (possibly....).
Week 6 complete even if there were some rather... - Couch to 5K
Week 6 complete even if there were some rather major hurdles....
I'm very sorry to hear about your dad. Other people on this forum have found that running helps them work through their grief and clear troubled minds, so I hope it has the same effect for you. I'll bet it was him pushing you out the door - I'm sure he wouldn't want you to let your goals slip away.
Keep your pecker up, and keep posting.
Well done pirate. Really sorry to hear about your father.
As you say, if you can manage despite that level of adversity, nothing can stop you.
Well done for carrying on despite your loss. Good luck with the rest of C25K, you can definately do it if you've got this far, just take it slowly, and listen to Laura.
My father died over 10 years ago, but I often find myself wondering what he would have thought of this or that, we often disagreed, but I always valued his opinion.
I am sorry to read of your loss. I hope that running will enable you to find some peace. And you are quite right. if you can run in the circumstances you have had this week, you most definately can crack it. Good luck with your future running x
So very sorry to hear that you have lost your Dad. I hope that your running will bring you some solace at this difficult time. I'm sure he was very proud of what you are achieving and will be cheering you - as do we all.
Sorry to hear about your dad. Keep up the running if tharpt helps, but don't beat yourself up if you have to miss runs. Do what feels right day by day, hour by hour. If you need to talk, just remember we're all here for you.
Sorry to hear of your loss PP, and I hope you can find some comfort in your runs.
One day at a time ...... xxx
Sorry to hear you've just lost your dad, that's teally tough. And amazing job for keeping going despite how you must be feeling. I started all this to help me when I lost my dad last July, and he's been on every run with me since I think. Go easy on yourself, the grief can be knackering. sending some hugs your way......
Thanks all. People are so kind and I take great solace in that, don't think it's hit me yet. I do know he would want me to keep going tho and I will take it at my own pace and keep going x
Well done, that must have been really hard going this week, sorry for your loss, I'm sure your dad would have been helping you and feeling very proud- well done
