So, I went for my second post graduation run today. My first was at the weekend and I found it tough, so I was gearing up for another toughie especially with this lovely warm weather.
With warm weather comes those not so lovely gnats/flies/bugs more than once I took a huge lung full of the little blighters. Yuk!
Now I can't be certain, but I'm pretty sure now that they were actually running bugs, because I was able to run for an extra 5 mins and then a tad more to cover 4 whole miles! Amazing, I can't believe it

Haha ! It's the extra nutrition...who needs gel shots ...?
I noticed they were out the other afternoon when I was out for a walk - yuk! They seem to be less annoying in the early morning, which is my normal time. As for the heat ... I started last summer in the wonderful heat wave. It really was a case of going out at 5.30am or not at all as it was sweltering! It was lovely to run in very few clothes though, and I'm looking forward to it only taking me moments to get my kit on again instead of the many layers I've had to wear through the winter ...
My theory is that the little blighters are there to really teach you how to breath properly. There are only so many you can eat/swallow/spit out before you start breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth!
