Hard! Week 6 run 2

After a fantastic run the last time, this one was just plain hard! Legs felt tight, by the end was beginning to feel I had no power left in them ( don't have a lot to start with) and the ten minutes felt like an age, ran further than ever before but got back to the house before app was up!

Try to relax into your own pace - don't push things. Last week and this week are the ones where you overcome the mental barrier to running. It's mostly in the mind where you can keep running, where you get all those thoughts and urges and fears that tempt you to stop and walk. You don't need to. It's no harder to jog at a really slow pace than to walk once you're into a session. The sense of achievement when you overcome all those things is wonderful. Just think of how you're going to feel when you first run for 30 minutes, then do your first 5k!

Week 6 was by far my most difficult! Stick with it, take your time, use your rest days and listen to Laura and you will do just fine. This battle is more mind over matter-transforming into a runner now - you can do it :)

Sneaky week 6! :-)

Catches everyone out and is the last test! Once it is over it is a gradual increase to graduation.

You can do it.

Some runs just feel harder than others for no obvious reason. But you finished it and that's the main thing. Every run counts and is making you stronger so you'll be ready for the next one.

I found week 6 interesting. Because you have finished week 5 I got a bit over confident and pushed on run 2 and boy was I glad when that walking break came up!
