W2R3 complete! πŸ˜†

Can't believe it, just completed week 2! Feeling really good and positive. Never thought I would hear myself say this but I am really enjoying it.

Having said that I have just seen week 3 and feeling a little nervous as the thought of jogging for 3 min seems daunting, but I am determined.

I am doing this to train for race for life which I am doing on 7 June in memory of my Dad, so plenty of motivation to make sure I complete and keep going.

Oh well done Deb. I realise that your nervous but unlike all those times (at school in my case) where you're told just to go out and 'do a cross-country run for 50mins', this course guides you carefully. You can be a complete overweight unhealth layabout like I was and still complete it without it being awful. That is what is so amazing.

Soooooo...

Repeat after me: Trust the program. Trust the program. Etc etc .

You wait till you get to week 5 I think it is and Laura says "now your going to run for 20 minutes"! I had kittens! I'd thought she had completely lost it! I then went out and did it to my complete and utter shock :) :) . I then realised that running is as much mental as it is physical.

Good luck! Keep at it and Trust the Program!

I am now in week 4 and felt the same way as you about week 3. Surprisingly, I found I could run it comfortably. I kept my pace steady and slow for the 3 minute runs and it felt good. Now on week 4 I can't believe that I can jog for 5 minutes. The plan really works and it feels good to reach each milestone.

Enjoy your sunday session Deb! You'll be fine. Just go slowly and you'll finish it

Hey, you've already done 6 runs in training for W3 so you are definitely ready and prepared to do it. Trust the work you've done so far to equip you for the next run. You can do it !

You so can do it πŸ‘ in doing run 2 of week 3 tomorrow. I managed to do all of it on Wednesday. Just keep it nice and slow. And like me you will have a HUGE smile ☺ in your face after. If I can do it then anyone can
