Whooo Hoooo.... Week 6 completed and I survived the 25 minute run. Am very tired now, but at least I did it. I did however run into a slight problem. I was still running when I got to where I usually complete my podcasts. I managed to run back on myself for the last minute. My route that I use is always the same. Its 5.35 km long. It allows for a 5 minute walk at the start and end of each run. However I am not passing that with today's run, and no doubt next week will be the same if not better.
Have any of you ever run into this problem before, and if so what did you do? The natural solution is to keep running back on yourself and start the course again, but in doing that there is a lovely 1/2km incline of about 20 meters in height that is fine for the start of course, but when you are finishing on an uphill is not best motivation.

I don't think I'll ever have that problem. I run along a canal path (half of the podcast there and half of the podcast back) which is about 10 miles long.
Happened to me today, almost ran to the front door! Have worked out a loop to tag on and give me more scope.....imagine though.....who ever knew I'd need more road to run on, it's a good sign eh? Enjoy
Thanks all for the suggestions. I decided today to run a second longer route that gives me a 12 minute cool down walk afterwards, but its also allows me to hit the 25 minute run which I just completed, but allows for a bit more next week and the week after for the 28 minute and 30 minute runs too. I did 4.29 km in the 25 minute run so I am very happy with that. The route is close to the old route so same hill levels etc. so will try that out for the rest of the runs and see how I get on.
