Finding others in my area

If someone could let me know how I find other runners in my area that would be great.

Well, there's the 'People near me' facility on the drop down menu under your name above, but that doesn't appear to work for a lot of users. Where I live, there is a new Run England beginners initiative which is great and is run in conjunction with the local council. We also have a huge local Facebook group which is great and works a bit like this forum so it might be worthwhile looking on there under 'Yourtown Runners' for example. There's always Parkrun of course. If you don't feel ready for that the local organisers might know of some running groups nearby. Hope you find someone!
