W7 completed ๐Ÿ˜Š but I still donโ€™t seem to find my pace ๐Ÿค”

Well Iโ€™m overjoyed Iโ€™ve completed w7 ๐Ÿค— still amazed Iโ€™ve got this far. Iโ€™m still struggling though.. please advise.. everyone seems to be finding there pace in which they are happy. I just donโ€™t seem to find my pace Iโ€™m comfortable with ๐Ÿ˜‰ I am going so slow only 6.2 on treadmill.. (and I seem to be landing very heavy.. if that makes sense). Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Slow and steady is the running mantra slogan for C25K, just take all your runs at a steady but not a quick pace, you will soon find a comfortable rhythm to run at.

Have you read the guide to the plan? healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

It explains the recommended pace and how to minimise impact, amongst many other topics.

Try slowing down to your easy conversational pace.

I did all my c25k on a treadmill and even pushed on to 10k on it.

My c25k pace was all between 6.2km/h and 6.5 km/h on a good day. I didn't find this forum until week 7 so I had no frame of reference and just doddled along.

If you want to slow it down even, feel free, there is no pace that you have to run at.

It's normal that it still seems hard because you are extending your runs every week, I didn't really find my "happy pace" until my consolidation after week 9, one day I just felt like I could run on to 5k, and I did it. But I certainly never felt like that during c25k. I am still very happy that I did it.

Compare your 1 minute efforts from week 1 with your 25 minutes in week 7, do you even think about running a minute now ? You are running 25 times longer than week 1, in just 7 weeks, it's pretty amazing. You are amazing ! Just breathe, stay hydrated and stick with it, your pace will come and you will feel such a sense of achievement when you graduate.

You can't go too slow. 25 minutes none stop running is amazing, well done. Each week you are running further and for longer so sure it's hard. I graduated in January and only now would I say 30 minutes is comfortable if I keep it slow and steady. You're doing great.

Thank you, I'm going to slow down, even though I'm not going fast I think it's to fast for me ๐Ÿ˜ฐ And yes as everyone keeps saying we forget how far we have come!! I never thought 7 weeks ago I would be running for 25 min ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ™Œ thank you again

Your doing really well - no need to be amazed - feel proud!

As for running on a treadmill - itโ€™s hard - can you not get out and run on grass? Softer impact.

Or maybe increase the incline on the treadmill and go slower

Itโ€™s not about the pace - itโ€™s about what you can d and what your comfortable with

Your doing really well so donโ€™t become disillusioned or more importantly - injure yourself

Above all - do not give up - you are so close now and I bet feeling much better in yourself

Keep it up

Well I have never run outside... and have thought of it often over the last couple of weeks. I honestly am a little worried and embarrassed to. I have alsways thought it would be harder and I always look like I'm about to kill over by the end of my run ๐Ÿ˜‚. I have read a lot of people say it is so much better running outside so maybe I should give it a go! I do feel so much better in myself this program has truly been wonderful and this forum is unbelievably supportive to everyone ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Thank you for the advise much appreciated. Hope your getting on ok x

Out for another go tonight

Finding it a little easier - although still hard and get out of puff lol

Still no pain - no gain!

Didnโ€™t manage to complete rd run last week - so going for it tonight

Not so red in head now after 30 mins lol

Got to admit though the feeling after 30 mins in fresh air is good!
