After my body refused to work very well at my first Parkrun on Saturday I decided to go out tonight and do a nice slow run and see what would happen....
Well... my pace was slow, my breathing was fine, legs fine.... I just kept going and ended up doing 8k (over 1 hour running) non-stop! That was a PB for me in non-stop running
After doing about 5k I really got in the "zone" and felt quite relaxed listening to the radio and could have probably carried on further than I did.
For someone who likes little walking breaks, I was really pleased with this run. I've read that a long slow one can help with shorted runs...
Still seems hard to believe the struggle I had at times with C25K... so folks, if you're just starting out... keep going.... you can do it!!
Happy running
