Tumble

So after the euphoria of getting to weightwatchers goal and running going well I take a tumble on my run Thursday night and I'm now black and blue. Right knee took the brunt so won't be running for awhile. Why is it when everything is going so well life throws you a kerb ball. Missing the running now. Never thought I would say that.

Ouch! Sounds nasty. Hope you mend soon and it's just a short setback - now don't go and comfort yourself by Sitting on the IC and eating pick n mix! You've worked so hard to get to target.

I won't, going to walk then power walk then back to it.

It's a little scary how we all get so hooked on the running! Take it easy and you'll be back off the IC (injury couch) in no time! Well done on the WW goal too - that's a major achievement as well as Completing C25k

Thankyou so much. Feeling a little lost with no run and watching my food intake. Don't want to gain the very first week after and I know it was the running that was making a difference. Any ideas on what I can do that doesn't involve using legs?

I don't have any bright ideas, I'm afraid. Best of luck with keeping at target though. I know how hard it can be - I reached target with SW about three years ago and I think maintaining is almost more difficult than losing in the first place! I'm about a stone over target now and hoping to get down again through running and sensible eating. I've got the running sorted but my head's just not into sensible eating at the mo! I've done it before so I'll do it again but it would have been so much better to stick to target instead! I hope you're better at it than I was! Best of luck and hope you're out running again soon. Let us know how you get on

Oh I've done them all in my time. I lost 4 1/2 stone with sw then put it all back on again so I know what you mean. I might consider going swimming until I can run again

It's all coming together, which is why I'm so upset at having to stop for a while. There would have been a time where I would have grabbed an opportunity to duck out of running, but not anymore

Thanks sweetie

Going for a walk tomorrow and going to check out where I fell down. Rob seems to think the path was probably uneven so down I went.

Yes there was an incline which in the dark I didn't see, it would explain why I went down simple science, didn't know I was running downwards and gravity took over. Roll on lighter evenings.
