w5r3 DONE!

So...like many others on the site I completed w5r3 today! It was as others have noted more of a mental challenge but seriously the one thing that got me through was the thought of how upset I would be if I couldn't post on here today that i did it! This forum is great and everyone on it is a fantastic motivator. I found after 10 minutes or so i settled into a nice rhythm. I also did the run early in the morning (7.30) and noticed I had no problem with cramp. Ive been running around 5pm...just before dinner and been getting quite bad stitches and cramps. I think running the morning is def better! Thanks to everyone and all your posts and comments which I read religiously. They really helped me :-)

Well done AFF, w5r3 is the business! The best and toughest run of the programme and you've nailed it, beating the gremlins and settling into your stride nicely. Running first thing In the morning is wonderful and really sets you up for the day. Good luck with w6 :)

Well done AFF, that's the milestone run out of the way. Week 6 can be difficult, but its a sprint to the graduation line now.

So well done. You've just run the biggie and should feel very proud. Some people find w6r1 a bit challenging going back to intervals after this one but take it slowly and you'll do it no problem.

Haha ! It does occupy the time composing posts for here.....well done on the 20 minute run, it's the one where you realise that actually, yes, you can keep running for a reasonable amount of time. Fantastic !
