Don't think about doing it... just do it! Really the best thing after chocolate
The only thing that they do not say on the NHS site is that
a) it is addictive
b) you have to be slightly insane to do it - then at the end of week 9 you'll be completely insane and sign up for a race
Yeah! Do it! Simples!!!!
Yep, there are zillions of posts here about how good they are. I do the podcasts all the time
I did the Stepping Stones one straight after graduation. I liked the structure (I play flute in an orchestra so I'm used to keeping to a beat!) but it was quite hard work. It pushes you because normally I feel that you listen to your body and pull back when needed and push on when more settled but with this it was solid blocks of a set pace and then a faster pace. I'll definitely do it again soon though and I've downloaded the speed and stamina ones to tackle next.
I love them too, and bore the pants off anyone who will listen about them! Just be warned, in the Stepping Stones one, Laura says "you are half way through this track" what she doesn't tell you is that there are another 2 or 3 tracks coming - catches me out every time!
Curly is the walking talking advert for the benefits of c25k+. I hated Stepping Stones but the improvements she posted after doing these podcasts made me reassess my view. Good luck Pot
I think I will need it because I don't think I am anywhere near going as fast as 150/160 beats....
You could always download a free metronome app and try running to that. My cadence is slow too, and found SteppingStones really tough until the tempo got up to 165. Just don't think I was feeling the love on that run. Don't give up if you find it tough, just try it again a week later. Good luck m'dear.
