Cheating a little but couldnt resist!

Feeling smug-W5R3 completed, but i didnt have rest day inbetween. Know I should have-but wanted to run!!! (OK jog slowly, but not walked!). Feeling really motivated at the mo and have a spring in my step. Will force myself not to run tomorrow but may have to do something else. Have even started doing free home exercises with fitness blender on laptop. But know i will need to prepare to maintain my motivation as it has drifted away the last two years...

Oo please be careful. Too many of us on here have picked up unexpected injuries from trying to do too much, too soon. Also be aware that lots of people find w6 surprisingly hard. It's a transition week, intended to build strength and stamina, but going back to intervals does catch some people out. Good luck

Thanks Ancientmum, i know the program always suggests the rest day (for good reason!) but just couldnt help myself wanting to do it. Will have a lazy day tomorrow-unless weekly shop for large family counts as exercise :). Have had various niggles in past and dont want anything cropping up this time round.

AM is right, go for a walk or a swim, but you're advised to take your rest days - rest from running...your muscles need time to repair. x

We have all been there........ and many of us have suffered by pushing too hard. Nothing is more demotivating than injury, believe me. Doing non impact cross training on your rest days is beneficial and unlikely to do you any harm. Good luck, but take care.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Ooh be careful... That's how I came a cropper! It's not good for the motivation if you have to stop until better. Just promise us all you'll listen to the niggles! :-O
