Week 2 again.....

I had nearly a week off running, on what would have been week 3, because I wasn't very well. I did a week 2 session yesterday, but made it longer to try and compensate. So pleased I did it, but I really noticed the effect of missing a week. Going to the gym tonight to use the cross-trainer as I probably can't get out again until the weekend (child care), although slight possibility of a Thursday run. My friend/running buddy and I decided yesterday that we should start topping up our runs with other exercise. Does anybody else use a cross-trainer?

I have used a cross trainer but don't like it. I just don't like the movement! It is supposed to be good for runners though so go for it. You could also try a bike and/or rowing as these are good too.

I must admit, when I went to the gym pre-children, I wasn't overly keen on them. A rower or bike may be better. I'm hoping anything helps really! I may give the cross trainer a go and then switch to one of the others if I'm not getting on with it.

......I only did 5 mins on the cross-trainer and I didn't like it. Found a recumbent bike and went on that for 35 mins. My legs ache, but feel like I got more out of that!
