Just went for my second run of week 1 and I started a lot slower I think than the first time as I thought it would be better to be more consistent but I didn't really feel as tired as I did on the first run. I don't know whether it is better to run a bit faster but feel more tired after or run slower and more consistent throughout?
Also, I don't own any running clothes so what would be the best thing to wear?

Well done! I'm also on my second run, I think slow and steady is best but what do I know!? No achy legs after run 2 almost went out today to do run 3 but am sticking to the plan. I think wear whatever you are comfy in, My incentive is get to end of week 3 and buy some nice running gear! Keep going
Haha I found that I wanted to run like the day after cause I was in the swing of it but then when I left a day in between it was so hard to find the motivation to actually get out!
Just go slow...you are building up stamina and strength for the later runs and Laura knows what she is doing! You will be less likely to get an injury and more likely to keep going when the going gets tough ( I know not original). As northernspirit says wear whatever is comfy although slow _Rob recommends running tights and I bought some and think they are great to. It would be an idea to get gait analysis at some point.Happy running!
slow, steady and consistent is definitely the way to go your body, muscles and joints needs time to adjust to running now you are doing just fine by the sound of it so well done so far .
Just where something comfy for now once you start buying running gear there is no stopping then
Ok thanks! I thought so! I definitely felt alot better after this run than the last one but I wasn't sure whether it was me going slower or the time of day I was doing it or both!
Well done you...and clothes wise I started out by going to Sports Direct and buying some running skins, t shirt and long sleeved top. The main thing is comfort, which you gain from moisture management and body temperature regulation...don't spend loads and try out things...... To find a good fit for you and your needs.....
Best clothing I found was from sports direct. They have a big choice and most of it is well discounted. I got a pair of running trousers karrimor for £9 and a running top Campari for £10 and a hat for £3.
So I'm well and truly ready, old trainers out Saturday for some new runners from sport direct too
