Is it weird that I'm thinking of what running gear I can buy once the sales start. I have no idea what has happened to me. It's all very odd

Oh yes! I know this feeling. Someone asked a group of us yesterday what we would spend a surprise and unexpected £250 on- totally theoretical. I wish!

Anyway a range of answers but I saw my husbands eyes roll when without a second thought I said trainers and running gear.

I train in really old stuff but that's part of my motivation - I'll get some new stuff when I feel I've gone far enough through the programme that I've shown enough commitment to deserve it. I will add that my trainers are not too bad anyway.

I wish nike would do there purple trainers, purple bottoms, purple winter top (for UK when I am back) in the sale in jan. This is all to match my garmin- oh dear. I have told myself no more running gear (nail polish doesn't count) but the sale is a different matter.

I need to stay home during the sales!!!

OOh sales yum! Need some new shoes...

Vix I race in purple and have managed to co-ordinate my gear! Got purple Nike pants, Nike Vest, More mile top with short sleeves, hooded warm top to match my nike shoes. I have asked Santa for a hooded lightweight running jacket too My husband (bless im) bought me a warm, hooded fleece top for post winter runs and it's the same purple as my running shoes. My running shoes are purple/green

I am in a Derby Runner race next Sunday and they are having a running shoe sale. I might have to avert my eyes

Great...you too!! I don't feel odd anymore - found myself browsing running bottle holders and running backpacks, this morning - for when I attempt longer trail runs and also thinking of sales as my running 'budget...ahem' has already been blown on my trainers!! :s
