Last weekend an Aussie Parkrun runner ran sub-15 minutes for the 5K - only to find that he was only second in the age graded stakes with 89.58% , but been well and truly trumped by another runner with 90.7%!
90.7% with a time of 53minutes 15 seconds - in the 95-99 age group.

I love that! Anyone running a sub 15 min 5k should be banned from a mention on this forum. It's just too depressing.

It doesn't depress me at all. I think good for you! It doesn't matter how fast we go as long as we enjoy ourselves.

I love age grading. If I use an online one then it means that my 5k's are under 30 mins. I'll take that anytime.

Whoa! Amazing..... I came first in my age grade last week with, ahem, a substantially slower time - all the fast 40-44 women must have slept in that day!
