Week 2 - This running thing gets to you a bit!

So into week 2. Ran on Tuesday, went ok. Then yesterday was a rest day and today was going to be as well, as I was due to meet some old friends for drinks this evening. Got a message from one of them first thing this morning saying he couldn't make it, and the first thing that came to mind? Not, (as would have been the case a few weeks ago), "Oh no I was looking forward to a couple of drinks". No. The first thing that came into my mind as I read his text was "Ooh good, that means I can go for a run tonight". What on earth is happening to me?! (Run 2 went well - loved it in fact :) ) Onward!

You sound like me. I was at hydrotherapy with my Labrador today, who has had her cruciate repaired....organising her appointment for next week...and working it round my running days. Not using those days as an excuse to take her instead....madness!!

It really does! I'm on week 3 at the moment but currently on the injury couch and so grumpy because I haven't been able to get out!!

The addiction sneaks up on you :) i still find myself shouting at other drivers to get out my way, so i can get home to run :D sad but true .

Héhéhéhéhé yes indeeeedy, you've been hooked. Me too, fantastic isnt it. The only slightly sad thing is that I wasnt hooked sooner, but hey, better late than never.

Keep running, and enjoying it. Just dont over train and injure yourself, as then you will have to stop for a while, and imagine how annoying that would be ;)

It's that evil Laura, she has hypnotised you! Just like she did to me and hundreds and thousands before me.....I'd say get out while you still can, but it sounds like it's too late already....well done on getting onto the programme, whehn I was at your stage I hated every minute of the sessions, then wanted to go again as soon as I got home! These days I try and combine running with other stuff, I had to pick up a prescription at my Docs the other week, ran there and back to the amusement/bemusement of the receptionists as I burst in all red and sweaty...I took the opportunity of puffing up the programme which they knew nothing about, now my docs surgery has a wonderful shiny C25K poster on the wall...
