Not too bad at all really. BUT and a big but, I haven't looked at week 5 yet. (Scared) but I did read somebody's post though which said it involves a 20 minute run?!?!
This seems a hell of a step up from 5 minutes?
Have others struggled with this?

I have not long finished this and yes the final run is 20 mins straight through. It seems like a big step but knowing what I know now, it's not an impossible task.
You should be able to pace yourself by now and the key is pace. Go at it like a bull in a China shop and you will burn out. Start steady and speed up if you like but if you start to flag just slow down.
The two runs before will prepare you and have faith in the program and in yourself. I let it beat me mentally twice, my body was able but my mind unwilling.
Have a go, if it goes badly then accept it and try again until you manage it. I am sure you will achieve it and you will feel great when you do.
Cheers.
I'm certainly going to give it a go. The program has definitely worked so far. It just seems a bigger step up than you would expect given its more gradual progression thus far.
That's what got me. Seems like a big leap but look at the times you have been running and take out the recovery walks. You just need to put them together and hey presto, you will get your 20 mins. Deal with each run as it comes, try not to dwell on what has yet to come.
A positive mind set will help too. So don't get down if at first you don't succeed. I just tried again until I got it.
If I can motivate 17 stone to run 20 min then you can too.
Just read all the posts and responses you can find about W5R3 and you will be reassured that nearly everyone doubted their ability to conquer this one and then absolutely did. Kurama is absolutely right. Find the right pace and trust the programme.......oh and do some extreme facial stretching prior to the final run, or the subsequent grin really can hurt.
Good luck.
None of us thought we could do it - and then we did! It's the most fantastic feeling and prepares you for the elation you'll feel when you graduate four weeks later!
