Since getting my garmin watch, I've made 4K 3 times a week my minimum target instead of 30mins. To do this, I now run round a triangle instead of out and back. Often, as I run the first 10 mins I look across the fields to the traffic on the third side and think "Oh no - it's so far". On Wednesday, for the first time I looked back from near the finish post (a road sign warning of bends) and saw a lorry going up the first bit of my route and thought "Wow - it's so far!" Looking back isn't always a bad thing...
Today, I couldn't see across the fields - too much rain. Does anyone have a source of windscreen wipers for glasses?

Tee hee. I know they're a pain. I take them off but put them on now and again to check my Garmin. What a faff as they always get stuck in my zipped pocket. If I perch them on my head they get steamed up. Tsk
I know what you mean about looking back. It seems such a long way but it doesn't seem it when you're running it. Keep doing that and then see where you are in say a month's time. You'll be surprised how much further you can get. I like to run trails as the distances seem to get chewed up much quicker and easier than running on the road
I have a similar issue with my sunglasses and sweat at the moment - i have learnt to keep them on. However i don't think this will help you - so maybe try a cap that way the water should remain off and might prevent them misting up.
Shows that your making great progress!! Happy running.
luckily i have escaped the real rain when i have run, i have a running hat with a good peak i will wear when it does ,hopefully should be ok
