First week on my new plan..

After much deliberation , I have decided to invest into a monthly gym membership. I knew I would have never got off my coach and do the 5k running, so the best thing for me to do was to signed up to a gym membership.

Today I did 20 mins on the treadmill , 5 mins on the bicycle, 10 mins on the cross trainer and some weights.

I felt really good , and please with myself.

For dinner I had A jacket potatoes with tuna mayo. My aim is to eat 1000 calories a day. I really do not know how much calories was in the tuna mayo.. I am aiming to go to the gym 4 times weekly and do at least an hour of exercise .

I just hope I have the courage to keep going to the gym and don't give up half way or through the festive season.

Now you can do C25K on the treadmill and that will keep you going to the gym. Win, Win?

1000 cals is too low every day. Recommend myfitnesspal site which is brilliant at calculating all calories and will calculate your daily allowance based on bmi, age, weight and daily exercise.

Edithharrison, I am so proud of you. What a wonderful effort. I started very slow, because of my bronchiectasis. This was in 2003! I have kept it up and it did me a world of good. so much so that I would never want to stop my 3 times a week at the gym.

I wish you well because eyour effort is going to give you self confidence, pleasure and true achievement. MARVELLOUS! Mic
