Week 9 (treadmill) graduated... Week 5 (outdoors)...

Fantastic achievement to complete C25K programme... But used the treadmill to build up confidence and stamina.... Tried to replicate outdoors (as I want to cancel gym membership). Failed completely, BUT managed to work backwards and complete Week 5.... I was warned it would be different didn't realise by how much... A new challenge to complete the programme all over again!

Well done! I think I'm gonna do this too. I did my early weeks outdoors & that was fine. I then moved to the treadmill at the gym and got to week 8. I took run 2 back outdoors & I just couldn't get beyond 14 mins. My speed control went completely out of the window! I hope to finish in the next week or so & then I thought I'd repeat it outdoors.

Well done on your graduation.

Maybe you just had a bad day, and you won't need to repeat half the programme. You just need to find your outdoor pace.... so slow and steady.

How can we help with the outdoor thing? Where does it all go wrong for you? I'm sure it's something someone else here has been through.

To be honest, the thought of running on a treadmill quite frightens me! Perhaps we can exchange tips?!
