Cautiously confident...

I have been full of trepidation for Week 6 after reading how so many people have struggled with this week. It has helped me pace myself and realise that I don't have to break any speed records (not that I will!). I ran Run 2 this evening - around 7pm, which is about 30 mins or so before sunset in sunny Devon at the moment... I am enjoying running at this time - cooling down but not too cold and luckily I must not taste very good because the bugs are leaving me alone! There were a few more dog walkers/cyclists around which meant I had to acknowledge them and say hello - surprisingly I could speak.

The first 10 minute run was OK, I was pleasantly surprised when Laura told me I had already run for five minutes. The three minute walk was actually enough time to recover, but I did have to push myself to start running again. I wasn't going to up my speed as Laura suggested, but for the last 60 seconds, I was able to find just a little bit more pace. I am having problems syncing Map My Run so I can't see the split times, but I did cover a total distance of 4.30 k with an average pace of 8.11 min/km, my best so far.

So Thursday will be the 25 mins, no more walking breaks! At the moment not sure what time I will be running yet as we are taking DD to Uni for the first time that day too :0(..

I was looking on the work rota to see who's working with me but it appears the new starter is and she's a non driver, so I will have to run back and collect the car ;-( oppps
