My wife and I are starting C25K this evening. I'm really proud of her as she has never run before in her life and I'm doing it with her for support and encouragement. I'm sure she would appreciate any good wishes from the community. Go Jo-Jo everyone is behind you!!! xxxx

I am sure you will both enjoy it , It is challenging but very do-able . Stretches after the runs are very important as are the rest days. I wish you both the best of luck, this programme is life changing .

Go Jo- Jo ! Why don't you join our happy throng on here too ? We are a very friendly bunch , we don't bite - honest :-D

All the best to you , and keep posting on here of your progress xxx

Welcome both of you. Good for you that you have decided to take this all-important first step. You'll have a lot of fun, and also some hard work, over the next nine weeks. And the results will amaze both of you! :)

Oh well done the chimpsons for wanting to start this amazing programme! It will probably change your lives (for the better!).

You'll get fantastic support and advice from this community and if you hit a problem then I'm pretty sure that someone somewhere has had it before!

Take it nice and slow and steady. It's not a race. Keep posting and above all, enjoy the afterglow of each run!

Welcome Chimpsons, one and all. You're gonna love it. C25k is about as good a fitness plan as there is. Give it a couple of weeks and you'll both be drooling over running kit in Sports Direct and convincing yourselves about how much you *need* a Garmin. Happy running ;)

From another newbie, still in W1 ,good luck and way to go :D

Always good to welcome new runners to the streets. Follow the programme and you wont look back. This forum is great for tips and encouragment. We have all been where you are.

As for us not biting, most of us dont but I'm not sure about Poppy despite her denials :D

Welcome to c25k! You've found a great community to help you along the way. Happy running!

Welcome! You follow in the illustrious footsteps of many on here who had never run before and who now, by following this excellent programme, proudly (and rightly) call themselves runners.

The best advice I got when I joined here was to stick the programme because it works and not to worry about speed - keeping going to the end, even at a snail's pace, is much more important and speed will come later. They were right on both counts.

Looking forward to reading about your progress over the weeks :-).
