My wife and I are starting C25K this evening. I'm really proud of her as she has never run before in her life and I'm doing it with her for support and encouragement. I'm sure she would appreciate any good wishes from the community. Go Jo-Jo everyone is behind you!!! xxxx
Starting tonight: My wife and I are starting C... - Couch to 5K
Starting tonight
Welcome to the board, and to this fantastic programme, it works , it really does !
I am sure you will both enjoy it , It is challenging but very do-able . Stretches after the runs are very important as are the rest days. I wish you both the best of luck, this programme is life changing .
Go Jo- Jo ! Why don't you join our happy throng on here too ? We are a very friendly bunch , we don't bite - honest
All the best to you , and keep posting on here of your progress xxx
Oh well done and good luck Jo-Jo. Once you get that first step done the worst bit is over. You are going to feel soooo proud of yourself. Do let us know how it went
Welcome both of you. Good for you that you have decided to take this all-important first step. You'll have a lot of fun, and also some hard work, over the next nine weeks. And the results will amaze both of you!
Oh well done the chimpsons for wanting to start this amazing programme! It will probably change your lives (for the better!).
You'll get fantastic support and advice from this community and if you hit a problem then I'm pretty sure that someone somewhere has had it before!
Take it nice and slow and steady. It's not a race. Keep posting and above all, enjoy the afterglow of each run!
Welcome Chimpsons, one and all. You're gonna love it. C25k is about as good a fitness plan as there is. Give it a couple of weeks and you'll both be drooling over running kit in Sports Direct and convincing yourselves about how much you *need* a Garmin. Happy running
From another newbie, still in W1 ,good luck and way to go
Always good to welcome new runners to the streets. Follow the programme and you wont look back. This forum is great for tips and encouragment. We have all been where you are.
As for us not biting, most of us dont but I'm not sure about Poppy despite her denials
Good luck - it will change her life for ever!
Go Jo Jo - this is one of the cheapest, simplest yet most amazing thing you can do. Welcome
Yeah - welcome to the wonderful world of oodles of support and general loveliness
Good luck to you both x
Well done both of you, I have to say that I have never felt better, well not that my brain can remember anyway, seriously, just enjoy it together, getting fitter and feeling better and good about it.
How wonderful! And what a very supportive and encouraging husband you are Mr Chimpson. Well done.
Yeaaay, come on Jo-Jo. You can do it.
Have a fab run and do report back when you have done it xxx
Yay! Welcome to the team Jo-Jo!!!!
Thanks everyone for your comments and support. We did it!!! There was some huffing and puffing and the odd expletive but were now looking forward to day 2!!!!
Welcome aboard the good ship c25k Good luck Jo-Jo and good luck thechimpsons
Yes ! Take a bow Mr and Mrs Chimpson Well done on taking that first step, you wont regret it , onwards to Run 2 , enjoy it ! xxx
Welcome to c25k! You've found a great community to help you along the way. Happy running!
Welcome! You follow in the illustrious footsteps of many on here who had never run before and who now, by following this excellent programme, proudly (and rightly) call themselves runners.
The best advice I got when I joined here was to stick the programme because it works and not to worry about speed - keeping going to the end, even at a snail's pace, is much more important and speed will come later. They were right on both counts.
Looking forward to reading about your progress over the weeks :-).
Well done you guys and good luck with it. I joined the forum a few days a go but still haven't plucked up courage to start yet.
Welcome and well done both of you!
