14 hour shift check, W4 R2 check ;-)

What a day, been a busy bee all day. Was tired when I finally got off at work. Me and my friend went out and ran W4 R2 it's got to be one of my best runs so far. Yippppeeee. The night was nice and cool and starting to get dusk what a lovely time to run.

I did have trouble with my new garmin as I'm not sure how it works properly yet seems I pressed the wrong setting. Running through a lane tha was really dark due to the trees either a by hit me in the head or a conked ha ha made me speed up like a rocket to get back out into the dusky night ;-) all in all a fabulous run. Feeling really good ;-)

I am amazed you still had the energy to run - well done :0)

Great stuff - the ultimate energy source... expending energy! :) Well done..

well done, amazed that you can have the energy after your LONG shift! though sometimes it just comes from nowhere i've found when you feel like you're all pooped out a change of clothes and a focus transforms you!! :)

I agree with that. It was one of my best runs so far. ;-)

Well done you. I'm just about to set off on W4R3 in the wind and rain. So tempted to get back on the treadmill but then my route doesn't get logged on MapMyRun/MyFitnessPal so I'm sticking to running outside for now.

Thank you. It is tempting when the weather is pants but I would rather be outside more to see and do. Good luck with your run, not that you will need ;-)

Gawd, didn't you say the same thing yesterday about 14 hour shifts? Two on the trot and you're still running? You must be made of iron...

Yes, I did. I am not running today meant to be a rest day but I'm in work at 9am and don't finish until 10am tomorrow so a even longer shift today. Then tomorrow it's the 10k charity event yippeeee. ;-)

That's brilliant after a 14 hour shift! You must have eaten an extra Weetabix!

Ha ha no extra weetabix, just stupid shifts that I can not get out of ;-)

Well done for getting out there after such a long shift - the easy option (and understandable one!) would be to have a nice sit down with a cup of tea! It's always worth the effort though, isn't it - you feel so much better for getting some blood pumping! Happy running! x

Best thing I did was just to get out there, it was my best run so far :-)

Running at night is good but the pitch dark does sometimes throw up hidden hazards, eg falling conkers, sticks on the ground and other dubious debris (read dog shite!), also where the ground falls away due to subsidence, it can be a right shock as you stumble headlong as you've put your foot into thin air. The orange low sodium street lighting is really quite pants

Take care out there

Yes, I agree lots of unwanted things in the way but nice also as it was not to hot ;-)
