KPHASOFFICIALLY GRADUATED

Just this minute returned from W9R3 and what a buzz. Had a slow run, but 30 mins is 30 mins, nowhere near 5K, but plenty of time for that. I altered my route to avoid a long straight run back on myself bit, where my head usually gets filled with dread, had to run the hospital car park, a useful place should I overdo it!!

Received a round of applause and cheers from my husband and boys who insisted I get on here and tell you immediately.

Thank you all for your quiet support and encouragement it helps to know others have had the same doubts and run through it.

I started very nervously on 21 May and ended the programme with a flourish on 2 August. Now to set to and have a shower short term - and to increase my speed and/or time so I can get the 5K. Any advice on what next to reach the new goals would be gratefully received.

BTW did I tell you I was a GRADUATE? I am so proud of myself.

KittyKat thank you I have applied for my badge.

I will take your advice, I have a short route I do sometimes when I need to jog but can't fit in the 30 mins, I try and do that at a faster pace. As for hills, if I run from my house I encounter hills along the way anyway, the key I think will be to try and keep the pace going up the hill and not slow too much

Very well done on your graduation. It feels wonderful, doesn't it? Those are wise words from KittyKat. Take it steady and build up slowly and the speed and distance improvements will follow in time. Good luck :)

Congratulations on graduating and a massive well done :)

You could concentrate on gradually increasing your distance at a reduced pace. Get the miles in your legs first and the speed will follow :) Good luck and well done again ;)
