I have just been preparing to take my Health Unlocked posters and my C25k poster up to my local surgery and realised that I know next to nothing about HU, apart from my experiences on this forum. How am I meant to sell that to my practice manager? I don't think the T shirt is going to do it by itself.
I have done a bit of reading on the HU main site and now know that there are 500+ communities using the portal, but I really think that HU should have briefed us and given us some information and also someone to feed back to, since some are having the posters refused. It seems many folk are not able to see the practice manager in person, so I have composed a covering letter, which I hope sells HU in the manner that they want. Surely this would have been better coming from HU HQ?
Does anyone here know who or how to contact HU regarding this matter?
I have planned to take the posters to both GP practices in town and also the local hospital, but would feel much happier doing this if I knew what I was talking about. Come on HU, do yourselves a favour and point us in the direction of a definitive description of your aims and objectives and some background information, please.

I use the support help button anytime I need help, but I have to say that hasent been very much at all. It might be worth sending them a message. Good luck.
I wondered about this so had a look at their website. It shows the staff photos and a brief description of what their roles are, and the doctor chap who is the boss.
I wandered whether Health Unlocked had anything to do with the NHS as we can't pitch up and say that this is an NHS thing if it's not. I was just going to offer the posters on the basis of my being a member of health unlocked, which I am, and leave it at that. The poster does have an NHS logo on it which helps.
I know what you mean though Iannoda, it's all a bit vague. This site also carries an NHS logo. I suppose we can only go on what we know from using this website.
On the green banner on the top to the right of the page. Click on help then Click on ask a question, they double check you can't find an answer then press the submit button. You usually get a confirmation email after you have sent it.
Just got my posters and wondered the same things. I felt I would need to be able to give a good explanation to make sure the posters are accepted, especially as several members of the forum have found parts of the NHS unaware of the C25k programme and therefore I expect Healthunlocked too.
