Dunno Rockette but ANCIENTDad says he can feel the difference in his joints if it stops taking it. :)

Not sure Rockette... I take them too so maybe I'll just continue to take them! :)

I don't know, but I wouldn't have thought so.

I don't take it as generally it not recommended for people with IBS.

My recovery from dodgy knees, which had got so bad that I had stopped walking for pleasure, coincided with my starting to take glucosamine on a regular basis. I could not have considered running back then and certainly won't be stopping taking it any time soon, even though I know there is little scientific proof that it actually works. If by stopping taking it, my legs reverted to their former state, then I think I would consider that was withdrawal symptoms.

And I started taking it when my knees were playing up (also knowing there was little proof it worked)... Given I've had less problems since (which will be down to a LOT of things, not just the tablets), even if it's placebo affect, I'm not going to stop taking them... :)

Well yes I was the same achy knees legs , started the glucosamine & those things went , so I suppose as the phrase goes I'd better keep taking the tablets . I get mine from holland & Barrett , but there pricey , I know they have offers but not often . Where do you get yours from ?

Boots for mine - about £15 for 30 (yep - expensive), but they're the 1500mg ones... still not cheap!

I take glucosamine too and get it online from healthspan. They seem to offer good products at reasonable prices.

OH gets his from Healthspan too. When he had his first arthroscopy, the surgeon said that he couldn't prescribe them but, in OH's shoes, he'd start taking them. Not evidence but a strong recommendation from someone in the know.

I get mine from Tesco. Cod liver oil and glucosamine sulphate capsules. Not expensive.
