Anyone else get this? When I first started running they were really painful but I guess my toes and toughened up because they don't bother me at all when I get them now. Is this a usual place to get them?

I've never suffered with blisters, thankfully, but I always run in M&S anti blister socks. They're wonderful (and reasonably priced) with a double layer across the toes and other pressure places, so the fabric rubs against itself not your skin. Brilliant! Why not treat yourself to some? Good luck

Hi, I use 1000 mile socks but they are on their way out I think. Will treat myself to the M&S ones. Thanks for the info.

If your getting blisters and changing socks doesn't work, then is it possible that your shoes are too small and that your toes are rubbing on the end of the shoe? If it's because your feet are moving around too much in the shoe then there are loads of different lacing options (have a google) to sort out all sorts of foot problems

My friend said to have running shoes half a size bigger than your normal size as your feet swell.

My OH does runs much quicker than me etc, and he has had black toenails as well as blisters on the tips of toes etc. In a nutshell, your trainers are too small. You need to go up 1/2 a size to make sure you have the room that your feet need.

It could also be the way your trainers are laced up. I know that sounds bonkers, but I found a picture that gave some useful alternative ways to lace up your shoes to avoid certain problems and it did the trick for my husband. No more blisters or black toenails. I'll see if I can post the picture on here somehow.

Here's the link to the picture of how to lace your shoes
