Watering eyes on run - tips please

Does anyone else suffer from watering eyes on their runs? Even when it’s not windy I end up fumbling with tissues as I go along. I’ve tried various generic eye drops but they don’t seem to help. I do wear sunglasses and they do help a bit but are not great for running as I have to constantly push them up and when it is not sunny they make everything so dark. Any tips please?

I don’t have this problem but do struggle with bright sunlight so bought a sun visor which works better than sunglasses for me. Not sure it would help with the watering eyes though.

Never thought about a sun visor instead of glasses when it’s sunny - good swop but, as you say, not sure if it will help with watering

Do you suffer from hay fever/other allergies at all? I've struggled these past few weeks with incredibly itchy/runny eyes, I find an antihistamine tablet and/or anti-allergy eye drops or spray help. Look for the "hay fever/itchy eye" drops or spray.

I don’t think I suffer with allergies so I haven’t tried antihistamines but maybe worth considering- thanks

You can get sports sunglasses which have clear or interchangeable lenses - think they're mostly aimed at cyclists. May be some sort of neoprene glasses keeper to stop them falling off. Also, sounds weird, but are you remembering to blink while you run?

Blinking!!! 🤔Hmm ... I’m not sure. It’s not something I’ve consciously thought about - I will though on my run tomorrow and check it out. I like the idea of clear sports sunglasses though - I’ll definitely do some investigating in that - thanks

It's just that blinking helps to keep your eyes clear of dust and stuff that might irritate them.

Allergies. My nose and eyes sometimes suffer.
