Long time, no post!!! ..... Life just seems to be supremely busy at the moment!!

Still keeping up with the running, although running in the heat is a challenge in itself ;)

So I'm doing Race for Life on Sunday, although only the 5K, it will be full of emotion and I'm hoping to not cry the whole way round ... it's going to be hot and I'm not certain about running with so many other people!!

BUT ... I will do it with angels watching over me x

Crying is absolutely fine. I challenge anyone not to get emotional at a RFL Even if you have not lost or known someone with cancer just reading the messages on peoples t shirts is very moving But it is a fantastic happy occasion as well . Don't worry about no of people just say hi to whoever you stand beside, run or walk with. Everyone will be feeling the same as you

so enjoy and good luck

I really, really hope (and believe) it will be wonderful to be out there with so many other people, doing something amazing! Have a great run, I know you'll enjoy it.

My wife died of cancer 3 years ago, so she'll be another angel watching over you. You're doing a great thing for her!

Oh Tomas, I feel very moved by your post, I am so sorry for your loss xxx

When I did my first R4L in June , I expected it to be quite a sad occasion , and it was emotional , but it was also a very positive, uplifting experience and I am certainly going to do it again next year xxx

It is great you are still finding time to keep running, and it is really hard in this heat, so well done. I am sure you will enjoy the RfL and of course it gives you another reason to run, not just for yourself. I don't think it matters at all whether or not you cry all the way round, it is such an emotional event and you won't be the only one. Just be proud that you are out there doing it. <3

Hey Folliegirl , it is emotional , but very positive and uplifting seeing all those ladies all running for the same cause. Nowt wrong with shedding a few tears , so don't worry about that .

All the best , and I hope you have an amazing time :-) xxx
